Nollywood actor lives in penury.

Sick Prince James Uche faces eviction from residence.
Prince James Uche
His catalogue of woes started years back, when he became ill after something struck him on his face, then his wife left him in 2012, because she couldn't cope with the burden of taking care of him and their three children. Now, this Nollywood actor,Prince James Uche is homeless and lives in penury. Has Nollywood abandoned one of their own?

According to Punch, the actor who is still battling with an undefined heart disease, memory and sight loss, has been served an eviction notice by his landlord, ordering him to vacate his residence at 45, Yetunde Brown Street, Gbagada, Lagos.

In a chat with a Punch correspondent who paid him a visit, the ‘Lost Kingdom’ actor recounted the beginning of his ailment.

“something struck me on the left side of my face about eight years ago, when I was heading for the burial ceremony of Pete Edochie’s mother at Nteje in Anambra State.

“I got to the venue of the ceremony and stayed in the town for two days. On the third day, I suddenly found that I could no longer move my body freely. Although I barely managed to get up on my feet, I could not climb up the staircase.

“I had to wait till the following Sunday before deciding to leave for Lagos. But my friend, Edoche, persuaded me to follow him to Enugu where he lived at the time. I slept in Enugu on that day. In the morning I went for treatment in a hospital.

“After the doctor had finished examining me, he stared at me with his mouth half open in shock for a long time.

“When I asked what was wrong, he said I should have been dead. He took my pulse again and then, sweating, said my blood pressure was abnormally high. He said it had risen up to 300 and it was a miracle that I was still alive.”
James now spends most of his time in the premises of a Catholic church near his residence.

Boko Haram's Sunday attacks.

BOKO HARAM

Boko Haram , the Islamic extremists attacked Maiduguri today from four fronts, but met a stiff opposition from government forces. The militants killed at least 12 people as government forces repelled the multiple attacks by the group in Maiduguri city, capital of Borno state.

About 37 other people who sustained injuries in the attacks are being treated at the State Specialist Hospital in Maiduguri

The attacks have caused panic in Borno state, particularly in Maiduguri and the surrounding communities. Major roads have been cordoned off by security operatives and residents were advised to stay indoors.

Meanwhile, in a separate attack, a suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber killed himself and eight others at the home of politician Sabo Garbu in Potiskum, in neighboring Yobe state during a PDP meeting.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, was found unresponsive in a bathtub after an apparent drug overdose, a source exclusively tells ET, and has been placed on a ventilator. Her family including her father is with her at the hospital.
While the same source says this was not a suicide attempt, another person close to the family told ET earlier today that it was "no coincidence" Brown was found under circumstances similar to those of her mother's death nearly three years ago.

On Saturday morning, Roswell, Ga. police responded to a 911 call and arrived at Brown’s home at 10:25 a.m.

In a statement Officer Lisa Holland said police administered life-saving measures until she could be transported to a hospital.

"Her husband and a friend located her in a bath tub this morning and she was unresponsive. He started CPR and a police officer took over life-saving measures until an ambulance arrived. She was transported to the hospital. Please keep her and the family in your thoughts and prayers."

Brown, 21, was alive when taken to North Fulton Hospital where she has since been stabilized.

"She's still breathing; she is alive," Holland said in a press conference held later in the afternoon. The officer did not offer any additional information about Brown's state.

Local police have a search warrant and are sweeping the house for drugs as they continue their ongoing investigation.

"We are interviewing all the family members and friends that were at the house at the time," Holland also said in the same press conference. "... We don't know that if it was an accident or what this could be."

Brown's mother, Houston, died of accidental drowning on Feb. 11, 2012. The effects of heart disease and cocaine use also contributed to her death.

Bobby Brown, who was not in Atlanta at the time of the incident, immediately flew to George. A representative told ET he had no comment at this time.

The most tattooed woman in the world.

Julia Gnuse before and after her tattoos
She is in the Guinness World Records as the most tattooed woman in the world but not because she set out to achieve that feat in life. Julia Gnuse lived a pretty ordinary life until she turned thirty five, her skin changed became extra sensitive and started to scar her in a very ugly way.

After several trips to the doctors, it was eventually discovered Julia had porphyria, an incredibly uncommon skin condition that is either inherited from a parent or just spontaneously develop. One of the most uncomfortable symptoms of her condition was that her skin became ridiculously sensitive – to the point she could not go outside without her skin blistering right in front of her eyes.

Her doctors could not do much for her as the only medicine currently on the market has the side effect of making her lose her sight. Faced with the choice of complete body scarring or blindness, Julia turned to her friends for solution on how to cover up the embarrassing scarring she was getting and one of them – a plastic surgeon – suggested she tried tattooing as a way to cover up the parts of her skin she did not like.

One tattoo on her leg was what it took to get her hooked on the idea. Julia covered her entire legs with tattoos, and then moved up to her arms, stomach, and back. Now over 95% of her body is covered in tattoos – including her face – and today, she is known as The Illustrated Lady.

Her tattoos took more than five years to create, and were all created by the same artist. The tattoos cost her more than $80,000. though the tattoos do not actually protect her from the sun’s hurtful rays, however, they covered up the scarring.

And it was there she wrote her first novel, Tim— followed by the book which made her famous: The Thorn Birds.

The Thorn Birds
Her most famous book

Author McCollough is likely to be best remembered for her book, The Thorn Birds, though, she wrote dozens of other books, including the "Masters of Rome" series, seven novels about ancient Rome.

She even issued her own take on Pride and Prejudice, with 2008's The Independence of Miss Mary Bennet. It was not well received by Jane Austen fans.

In recent years, her eyesight began to fail, and she suffered from debilitating arthritis — but she kept on writing. Her last book, Bittersweet, was published in 2013.
